We are 36 days out from one of the most consequential elections of my lifetime! Do your duty as a citizen – VOTE! You have 4 days left to register to do that if you have not yet done so. GET IT DONE!
If you have received your VOTE by Mail Ballot, complete it and drop it at the closest Supervisor of Elections Office. If you are out of state – DO NOT trust the US Postal Service with your ballot. They are closely aligned to the Fascist White House and don’t care what the courts have said, much like 45/47. They don’t think it applies to them. Use FEDEX or UPS and pay for overnight service. Get it done!
Recommendations for Judges: Boot them all. Every judge on the ballot has been appointed by DeSantis or Scott. A new Governor can make new appointments. YAY!
Amendment 3 – NO-NO-NO! Blatant vote buying scheme to starve local counties and municipalities so home rule can be further reduced. Full of BS to make it seem like they are doing us a favor. NOT!
My recommendations for elected office on the ballot are:
City of Key West, District 4 – Two good people are running for this seat, both DEMS. Pick one.
City Charter Amendment re: length of Mayor’s term – NO & NO (there are 2)
Florida State Senator – Jose Stoute
Florida Governor – David Jolly
Florida Attorney General – Jose Javier Rodriguez
Florida CFO – Annette Taddeo
Florida Ag. Commissioner – Joey Atkins
US Senator – Angie Nixon
US Congress – Phil Ehr
Village of Islamorada:
Re-elect Steve Friedman and elect Joe Wischmeier
(again, these are MY recommendations)

Volunteer Opportunities:
Goombay – IYKYK – Key West’s Festival to celebrate our Bahamian ancestors & Culture. October 16/17 – we will set up our voter registration and information booth at the street fair and need some more volunteers to help man the booth between Noon and 8PM.
