Weekly Dispatch - September 21, 2026
Our goal for the November 3rd election is historic turnout. That begins with each of us making sure our own vote is cast and counted and then helping someone else do the same. Make your vote count. That is our job now. Cast your vote early and securely rather than waiting until the last possible moment.
If you vote by mail, return your ballot as early as possible. Verify that your vote was received. If you are in Monroe County use the secure ballot drop boxes at the Supervisor of elections offices, rather than relying on the mail. If you will be out of town, your ballot will not be forwarded to you. Make sure your ballot is sent to where you will be!
If you plan to vote at the polls on Election Day:
Find your polling place. Know the hours. Plan transportation and allow extra time. Be prepared for possible lines or confusion. And don’t let uncertainty keep you from voting.
The 4th No Kings Day (October 17th) is not about everyone literally voting on the same day. It is about creating a massive national mobilization around early voting, helping eligible voters understand their options, make a plan, and participate. The Lower Keys Dems will be hosting a booth at Goombay (Oct 16 and 17) and we could use some more volunteers to set up, work the crowd and get our candidates known, and break down the booth. If you can help register voters, spread the word about early voting or help people make a plan to vote, please email me at chair@keysdems.com with "Goombay" as the subject and let me know which day(s) and time(s) you will be there! September Keys Dems Meeting Dates
The Middle Keys Dems will meet on Wednesday, September 23rd at 5:30 p.m. in the Marathon Public Library with a Zoom option for those who cannot attend in person. If you are a Keys Dems Precinct Leader, we are asking that you attend this meeting in person or via Zoom for some important information. Precinct Leaders - Be on the lookout for an email later today.
