Good morning Keys Dems!

What a huge success all of our No Kings peaceful protests were!  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you for marching, for chanting, for holding signs, for registering people to vote, for sharing information, for supporting one another, for keeping each other safe, for taking videos of our events, for sharing them on social media, for resisting, for rising up, for holding our flag upside down in distress, for honking in support, for signing a petition, for handing out red cards.  We were a part of a nationwide movement to defend our democracy and it felt amazing to be KEYS STRONG with all of you!  We made a difference!  Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Yesterday, we honored the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures whose strength shows up in quiet ways — in protection, in presence, in love that doesn’t waver.

The world may feel uncertain, but their steady hands and grounded hearts remind us what real strength looks like.

To those who stand strong for their families every day, thank you.

On Saturday, June 14, (Flag Day) we didn’t just march — we made history
:

Over 2,100 “No Kings” protests
7.4 to 10.3 million participants
That’s 2.1% to 3.0% of the U.S. population
The second-largest protest in U.S. history
Overwhelmingly peaceful
Widespread media coverage
Trump’s military parade? Poorly attended and overshadowed
We did what we set out to do:
We showed the world that democracy lives in the people, not in parades.
