On February 3rd, Protective Status for Haitians officially ends. Temporary Protective Status (TPS) allows eligible Haitian nationals already in the US to live and work lawfully for a limited time due to dangerous conditions in Haiti. The US has a Do-Not-Travel Advisory to Haiti because it is an unsafe country and is still sending Haitians back there. 500,000 Haitians nationwide have now lost their Protective Status, many in Key West.
