Good Morning Friends!

Through your efforts, we added 322 Dems to our Vote By Mail total in July while the Republicans added 19.  Way to go everyone!  We will keep at it – hosting voter registration events up and down the Keys and talking to folks about the fact that ALL Vote by Mail Registrations were purged as of January 1, 2025 and must be renewed.

WEDNESDAY August 6, 2025

The City of Key West is holding an all-day affair at City Hall starting at
9am with a 23-page agenda for the morning sessions. At 5pm they will
crank up again starting with A Resolution regarding the Rainbow
Cross-walks. If you look at the whole agenda I’d say we are going to
see an increase in our sewer bill and they want to put artificial turf at
the Amphitheater! Sure, let’s add more plastic to our already
deteriorating environment! Check it out!

As you probably know, Republicans just passed a brutal budget bill that will:

  • Cut 17 million people off from health care over the next decade

  • Slash funding for hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes (especially in rural areas)

  • Gut SNAP food assistance for millions of children and seniors

Only about one-third of voters are aware of these cuts. Handwritten postcards help inform and mobilize them.   That's why we must... Agitate.  Educate.  Activate.
Want to Do Something Concrete Right Now?
Some of our folks are already writing and mailing hundreds of postcards to swing-state voters—and some are hosting postcard parties. These actions are among the most tangible and practical ways you can push back right now!
You can sign up in minutes, receive free materials from trusted organizations, and send handwritten postcards that influence voters before the next election.
1. Write postcards individually

2. Host a postcard party
Postcard parties are a powerful way to bring our community together, write in bulk, and fight back. Please host or attend one!
We are in a transition—from responding to each crisis as it comes, to building a resistance that is organized, strategic, and sustained.

We are moving from scattered reaction to organized resistance. Every postcard, every call, every conversation builds that bridge.
Hope is rooted in action – let's keep moving, keep connecting, and keep climbing.  Remember that every action you take now strengthens the bridge to the organized force we are becoming.
