The life of Dolly Parton has been celebrated all over the world since her passing. If you didn't already know, she was a woman who spent her life using what she had to make others' lives better. Let us honor her memory by doing the same. What do we do with what we have? Many of us are making others' lives better by volunteering to keep our neighbors safe from ICE, driving people who need help getting to the polls, cleaning up our neighborhoods, feeding the hungry. The list goes on and on in our communities! Let's keep the momentum going and bring others into our efforts. Thank you, Dolly, for showing us how to leave the world a little brighter. On September 13, the Keys Dems will hold their JAZZ IN THE GARDEN FUNdraiser at the Gardens Hotel, 526 Angela St. Key West. Tickets are $60 and includes 2 drinks (some restrictions apply) Live Music with the King & Queen of Key West Jazz, Larry Baeder and Terri White, who always bring some friends to join them. Election protection will become increasingly important as November approaches. Thank you to those who have already reached out to volunteer to be Poll watchers! We are going to need more poll watchers for the general election on November 3. Please contact me at Chair@keysdems.com ASAP as I am required to turn in a list by October 1.
We have a booth at Goombay (Oct 16 and 17) where we've invited our Democratic candidates to join us! All we are missing are the volunteers needed to set up, work the crowd and get our candidates known, and break down the booth.
