Vacation's over - Back to Work!
Monday June 26, 2023
Good morning Democrats!
I am back from my vacation and getting caught up.
Big Thanks to the team who worked Key West PrideFest. We registered 1 voter and got LOTS of petitions signed: Clean Water Amendment, Single Member District for Monroe County, and the BIG ONE – Codifying into Florida’s Constitution a Woman’s right to choose!
The Statewide efforts on this important health and autonomy issue for Women is going well with approx. 240,000 petitions signed (we need 900,000). So, sign up! If you have not seen a sign-up table near you, go to this web-site, download, complete, sign and find the nearest collection site or mail in. https://floridiansprotectingfreedom.com/petition/
Big thanks to Phil, our Vice Chair, for keeping the newsletter going in my absence and Stacey for the research on Govt. Meetings.
I know many of you are traveling this summer. After 2 weeks wearing shoes, socks, and turtlenecks, coming back to this heat is a bit overwhelming! But we have work to do. The forces of evil are NOT on vacation and Faux News is still spreading their divisive lies!
Our efforts at holding local government officials accountable are having an impact. Kudos to all who attend, ask questions, and speak at these meetings. Voting is the first job we owe our community. Paying attention to those hires is next. (Thank you Dottie Moses)
Here are your options this week!
